Updates

  1. I’ve pretty much migrated to Facebook (and for a different crowd, Multiply) and just maintain this account. I’ve noticed that Friendster has been trying to catch up with Facebook but it’s still behind.
  2. I’ve ditched my ubuntu OS and open office and have given up fighting Windows and that has made me more productive in many ways. Ubuntu is okay if you’re just into word processing or spreadsheets. BUT not okay with presentations (can’t handle big files) and too many software require Windows.
  3. I’ve opened up two new blog sites: www.socialframes.blogspot.com which are reflections from social theories other than bourdieu. Bourdieu reflections are still found in www.bourdieublog.blogspot.com but I haven’t updated that in a while. I’ve also opened up www.natsit.blogspot.com but have only been able to post one (theoretical) entry.
  4. I’m so proud of my students. I’m happy I talked to the sophomores and the freshmen, especially the freshmen.
